Groups

Welcome to Our Groups!

Here you can learn all about our groups. We have some guidelines to help everyone have the best possible experiences.

We are excited to meet you

Thank you so much for signing up, we’re excited to have you join our Young People’s Hub community. Our groups are all about fun, learning, and making new friends. To help everyone have a great experience, we have a few friendly rules and guidelines…

Say hi to the team

The groups are run by our friendly Hub team! Here’s a little about each of us, so you can get to know us better:

Group Guidelines

1. Be Kind and Respectful

We want everyone to feel safe and happy in our groups. Please treat all members with kindness. This means listening when others are speaking and being polite, even if you disagree. You can check out our behaviour policy here.

2. Age Requirements

Our groups are for young people aged 13 to 25, but sometimes have a minimum age of 16. This helps us ensure everyone can participate comfortably and enjoyably. Please make sure you are within the correct age range when signing up. We will have to remove anyone who doesn’t meet the age requirements.

3. What to Expect

Groups: Our groups are a place where you can share your thoughts and ideas. Don’t be shy – everyone is encouraged to participate!

Activities: These might be themed – for example, if you’re taking part in an Art or Photography workshop. But for all group activities you can always expect fun games, interesting chats, and opportunities to learn new things together.

Support: Our group leaders are here to help! If you have questions or need assistance, please feel free to reach out.

4. New Members

To make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe, we’ll arrange a short video chat with any new members. You’ll receive an email about this, with a link to book in a quick 5 minute time slot. This is just a friendly way for us to get to know each other better!

5. Emails You'll Receive

Welcome Email: After signing up, you’ll get a welcome email with important information about the group.

Meeting Reminders: We’ll send you reminders about your upcoming group including the Zoom video invite, so you don’t miss out!

New Members: All new members will receive an email to book in a video chat with one of our fab Hub team, so keep a look out.

6. Participation

We encourage everyone to join in, share your ideas and thoughts, and feel free to ask questions. It’s perfectly fine to keep your camera off if you prefer, and you can always use the chat function to contribute – your voice matters!

7. Attendance

We understand life gets busy, but we hope you can attend any group you’ve signed up for. If you can’t make it, please just let us know – email us at hub@kids.org.uk

8. Privacy

Please respect everyone’s privacy. What’s shared in the group should stay in the group. Check out our privacy policy for more info on this and how we store your data (TBC LAURA)
